"A Shade of Vampire" by Bella Forest Review

So I just finished reading this book a few days ago. I have been swamped and am just now reviewing it. This was an interesting little book. It seemed short to me, but I don't know if it was just me. =) It basically is preparing you for the next two books to follow. It is the introduction into the story to follow. It explains how these vampires live on an island and kidnap people to be their slaves and basically work for them. There is a lot of drama and fighting and stuff like that. The story follows one of the girls who was kidnapped. So it is a love story/ war story. The next books and going to go into the war between the vampires and the hunters. All I can say is it is going to get crazy. I gave this story 4/5 stars. It entertained me and makes me want to read the others. I didn't give it 5 stars because it just didn't leave me in awe. I would recommend it to anyone that likes vampire stories.

This is the first out of 3. This book is totally setting up for the others. It was different, and kept me interested. It is about a vampire island and they kidnap people to be their slaves. Well one of the captives and the kidnapped girl fall in love. There is a lot of fighting and craziness. This story was a little short, but I think that is because it is preparing for the next part of the story. It is left in a cliff hanger where you are wondering what is going to happen next. You have a feeling that the next story is going to get crazy. The story follows one of the girls that is kidnapped. I don't do spoilers so I will just tell you there is alot of drama and is setting up for the next book which will be part of the war between hunters and vampires. If you like vampire stories, you will enjoy this one. I can't wait for the next one!

"Defy" By Sara B. Larson; Review

This book is many things wrapped into one thing. It was really well written and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a book that will make you feel for the main character.  It will keep you guessing the entire time. It is set where kings rule the land. It also features magic and sorcerers. It was a really good read and fully entertained me. This book will want to make you jump into the story to help the main character out. I gave it 5/5 stars.

The story was a really well put together story. It has lots of action and lots of danger. The story follows a girl who witnesses her parents get killed by a sorcerer when she is about 13 or 14. All that is left is her and her  twin brother. Instead of getting taken away by an army they cut off her hair and have her pretend to be a boy so she doesn't get put into the house of girls. At this house men take advantage of women and rape them to grow their army. She is now 17 and in charge of protecting the prince. That is when the crazy kicks in. There are many secrets and twists and turns. I will not give away any spoilers. I will say it is an action packed and is a love story built in one. I will tell you it is not a happily ever after. It is a great ending though. It will make you wonder when the second book will be written and what is going to happen in that one. This story is full of magic, heroism, kings, princes and sorcerers. It was a very interesting read and I kept wanting to read more. If you are into action or love stories or ones with twist and turns that keeps you guessing this is the story for you.<br>

Russian Hill Ty Hutchinson Review

I won another book off of Goodreads.com. This is a review of the book I won.

I would give this book 5/5 stars on the book. It was well written and kept me wanting more the entire time. There was one day I didn't have time to read and I was so mad, but I had to get some sleep and was exhausted. Anyways, below is the review I posted on Goodreads.com.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a book that is going to keep them guessing.

Good Reads Review
I loved this book. It was like an episode of criminal minds and it kept me thinking the entire story. It is about a game that this couple is playing online which tells them how to kill a person. They have to beat the 5 attractions. The story goes back and forth between the couple and a a couple of detectives that are trying to figure out why there are dead bodies in their area. The book is well written and will keep you wanting more. This is the first out of a 3 book series. I am excited to read the next two. The book ends in a cliff hanger that will make you want to order the other two right away. If you like mysteries or crime novels this is the book for you. I recommend it to anyone that likes these types of books.

Kroger skillet meals

 So I did a program with Bzzagent (link down below) to try Kroger Skillet meals. I have to admit I put it off for a while because I thought they would be bad. I was pleasantly shocked when I cooked it up and it was great. I did the chicken meal. Oh it had great flavor and if you add a little bit of mozzarella cheese it makes it even better. When you open up the bag there is the frozen mess. In this mess is chicken and veggies and these little squares of sauce of flavor. If you have a Kroger near you or a store that sells Kroger products I definitely recommend you try one. They are very reasonable to pick up and they are worth it. They also have salad mix and garlic bread and other things. The garlic bread is a long loaf and you can cook just one section of it if you want. I did this and saved the other half for the next day. The garlic spread was even on both sides so you didn't have to cook it all together. Anyways the skillet meals have a big variety from shrimp to other types of meats and veggies. I would check them out...

Franks Red hot

I am not going to review Franks Red hot on here, but I am going to review the dips they have on their website. I was selected to try the hot sauce and some of their recipes from smiley360.com The recipe they have with the blue cheese was good. I substituted the blue cheese from ranch and mozzarella cheese. I made it when we had people over for the game. Everyone loved it it was great. It has a creamy taste with a nice lil kick to it.
I also made the sauce for hot wings. You add the buffalo sauce to butter and I added a little bit of Regular Franks red hot and the sauce was out of this world. You had the right amount of hotness to the right amount of creaminess. I would recommend anyone that likes spicy foods or buffalo wings try these recipes for themselves. You can find them at Franksredhot.com  There is a few on there. Have fun and try different things... The one thing I would recommend is for the first recipe make double. There really isn't that much when you make it and if you are planning on a party make double for sure. All of my dip was gone within hours.

The Weight of Blood by Laura Mchugh

  So I won a book from Goodreads.com. It was the book named above. This book was great. I give it 5/5 stars. It was a book with a little bit of everything wrapped into one book. It is a coming to age book, where a young girl is trying to find herself as she grown into an adult. When she was a baby her mother went missing (ran away or suicide) They never found her body. She has all of these questions about her mother and what type of person she was and how she is like her. Well one of her classmates/friends ends up missing for over a year and is found dismembered in a tree. This was the talk of the town. She goes on to try to find her murderer and what happened to her mother. She is from a small town, and we all know what kind of secrets a small town holds. I won't give any spoilers away (I don't believe in them, you just have to find out for yourself) It has a happy ending. I will give you that. It is very well written with a lot of unique quotes in it that your like oh year I remember hearing this when I was a kid. It was hard to put down the book I just wanted to finish it in one night. (Hard to do when you have a toddler you have to chase around in the morning) Each story is told from a different persons perspective so you can piece together the story as the girl is. It is unique and I highly recommend. If you like thrillers, mysteries or coming of age books you will love this book.
